The night of Friday November 7th brought an eventful game of football between the Norwell Football Clippers and the Joseph Case Football Cardinals. Boys Varsity Soccer Beats Old Rochester
The Norwell Clippers beat Old Rochester in a very close match 2-1 at home, in spite of playing without sophomore Connor Hickey. The Clippers played great and for the most part shut down Old Rochester’s offense. Saturnalia
This past week on December 11th, Norwell’s Latin Club had their Saturnalia celebration. Saturnalia is an ancient Roman holiday and festival celebrated during December. It’s meant to honor the god of agriculture and time, Saturn, and is celebrated with many festivities. Every year on Saturnalia, the Latin club hosts their celebration after school. Norwell Clipper JV Football shootout versus Hanover
This Thursday, the Clippers JV team barely beat Hanover in a must win end to the season. Giving Norwell an 8-1-1 record, the Clippers had an amazing season capped off by a game winning stop against our biggest Rivals. Varsity Football: Clippers v. Hawks
The Norwell Clippers made it to the Final Four for the second consecutive year in a row, beating the Pentucket regional team 41-14, at the end of the game. Jack Lucarelli had four rushing touchdowns along with Colin Gerhardt’s two touchdowns. It was a one-sided game with the Clippers up at halftime 27-7. The Norwell Clippers football team, competing in Division 6, delivered a strong season marked by big wins and a deep run into the postseason, making it all the way into the MIAA state championship. The Clippers finished the campaign with an impressive overall record of 9-4, securing a 3-1 finish in the competitive South Shore, Sullivan League which showcases the team's consistency on both sides of the ball and proving their ability to be serious contenders again next year.
