March Madness Tournament

The first ever NHS March Madness Tournament took place this past Tuesday, March 11 and it was a success! This mini pep rally consisted of some friendly competition between basketball teams, an appearance from the dance team, a half court shot competition, and even an event to race against Skipper. It was an amazing way to celebrate all of our winter sports teams and to send both boys and girls basketball to the state championship. The mini tournament was also a fun way to let students play some basketball while being coached by the varsity players. Congratulations to team Oliver Garden, the March Madness tournament champions! Coached by Maddie Oliver and Oliver Rice, this team consisted of the staff captains Mr. Niamey and Mrs. Hamilton, and the players, Tommy Donovan, Corbin Gravina, Hannah Morse, Matt Panttila, Jameson Troy, and Kelsey Tuttle. Congratulations again to team Oliver Garden. Hopefully this March Madness Tournament will become another annual event for NHS!
