Peer Ed Elementary School Visits

Throughout the months of December, January, and February, the Norwell High School Peer Educators take three separate trips to both the Vinal and Cole elementary schools to teach a short lesson to fourth and fifth grade students. In December, the peer educators went to talk about kindness, but unfortunately they were only able to make the trip to Cole School. However, for the peer educators that were supposed to go to Vinal, that just made the January trip that much more special as they were able to meet the kids for the first time. The January visit was to talk about inclusiveness and to discuss the difference between a clique and a friendship group. All the fourth and fifth graders love to be able to meet and talk to high school students who they look up to. The peer educators also love these visits as they are able to take a break from their classes to take a trip down memory lane and interact with the kids who are in the same seats these high school students were once in. Although it will be the last trip for the year, everyone is looking forward to the trip in February to once again be able to meet these Vinal and Cole students and walk in the elementary school halls.
