Earlier this week the Norwell boys varsity basketball team faced off against Swampscott in the round of 16, at Swampscott High school. This was during the division 3 playoffs, and Norwell had just come off a 46-39 victory over Falmouth the game before. After a long tough back and fourth game the Clippers found themselves down by 2 points with less than 4 second left on the clock. Senior Keegan O’hare had the ball on the inbound, he looked and then passed the ball to Nicholas Fein. Fein caught the ball with 3.8 seconds left on the clock, and with time winding down dribbled and took a contested shot from just under half court. With 0.9 second left in the clock Feins shot was flying through the air, and he drilled it, putting the clippers up by one. With no time left the student section stormed the court in a frenzied state of excitement. This miracle of a play went viral on a national scale when it was featured on ESPNs top 10 at a shocking number 2. Soon after Nicholas Fein and some of his teammates were interviewed by CBS’s Samantha Chaney and talked to CBS Boston about it. CBS Boston made an entire segment to this, it has been posted for only one day and already has over one thousand views on their YouTube account. Thanks to Nicholas Fein sensational shot to win the game for the Clippers the boys varsity will now be advancing to the round of 8 with hopes of winning it all once again. The Clippers will be squaring up against Greater Lawrence Technical High at Greater Lawrence this Sunday today looking to continue on winning.
