Freshman and JV Soccer
Around 2 months before school, soccer preseason began with many captain practices. These were led by the captains of course and were about an hour and 30 minutes long. We played games like the World Cup, small games, full sized games, and sometimes laps around the track. After a few games and regular practices, the team played in a jamboree where the freshman got to play at the end for around a half. Many daily practices consisted of small games and drills to help us get better. Our game at Sandwich was our first in season game. It was slightly hot out, but we finished the game around 4-0. The next few games weren’t much of a challenge until Weymouth who are D1 which we tied against. After a little while, we faced Coho who we had already beaten before but this time they had a lot of varsity players. We started off weak with them scoring the first goal, but after the first half we played decently well having many chances to score. We lost this game 1-0; first loss of the season. Only slightly later we lost to Nauset which made it our second loss, but we have won our games since. That’s how the season is so far and we are hopeful for varsity playoffs.
