Norwell Cares Day 2024
Norwell High School recently celebrated its annual Norwell Cares Day, a tradition that brings together students from all grades to engage in various community service activities. This event strengthens the bond between the school and the Norwell community.
Freshmen Kickoff Freshmen Kickoff is where first-year students participate in a series of fun and engaging activities designed to bring them together and show them what the high school spirit is like. The freshmen ended the day with the homeroom dance that they worked hard on during the day.
Sophomores Around Town As a sophomore, I had the opportunity to contribute to the community in a meaningful way. My advisory group headed to the Norwell Public Library, where we did various tasks such as wiping down tables and weeding. The highlight of our day was removing signs from the baseball field, and in a humorous twist, we ended up taking down signs from the softball field as well. Our efforts were recognized with a trophy. Other contributions to the community from the sophomores included installing birdhouses and making a bridge.
Juniors to Juniors The juniors spent their day at Cole and Vinal Elementary Schools. They engaged in activities such as reading aloud and played with the younger students during recess. It created a memorable experience for the children to look up to high school students as role models.
Senior to Senior The seniors spent time with the senior citizens in the community. They played games and had engaging conversations with the seniors.
Norwell Cares Day is more than just a day of service. It is a celebration of positive spirit!
