The Norwell Clippers made it to the Final Four for the second consecutive year in a row, beating the Pentucket regional team 41-14, at the end of the game. Jack Lucarelli had four rushing touchdowns along with Colin Gerhardt’s two touchdowns. It was a one-sided game with the Clippers up at halftime 27-7. Defensively, Dylan Verakamp had two big sacks to get the Clippers back on offense. Nearing the end of the game some sophomores got in on the action. The game ended with the Clippers moving to the Final Four, playing the Hudson Hawks. The Clippers lost last year to the Hudson Hawks, so if they beat them this year, this would be a redemption game. It’ll be a tough game with the Hawks having a tough 9-1 record. The Clippers will need to buckle down on defense as the Hawks star quarterback averages around 155 rushing yards per game. This is the biggest game of the year for the Clippers, deciding if they have what it takes to make it to the state championship. They have another game, on Thanksgiving against the Hanover Hawks. The previous game was close. Going into overtime, but the Clippers ended up winning the game 15-13 after a double overtime touchdown by Will Bostrom. A direct snap straight to Bostrom and an 8 yard two point conversion to win. This year they will be playing the Hanover Hawks once again. The Hawks have a 6-4 record this year and are the underdog going into this Thanksgiving morning game.
