The night of Friday November 7th brought an eventful game of football between the
Norwell Football Clippers and the Joseph Case Football Cardinals. The first round of the
playoffs brought the one seed (Norwell) to a victory 30-0 over the sixteen seed (Joseph Case)
where the Clippers star players showed out on both sides of the ball. The exhilarating victory
included some stand out plays by the team such as the safety, many sacks, and 4 touchdowns
along with other impressive achievements made by the players during the night. The team
decided to make a choice of white pants to pop out from their usual uniforms where they can be
spotted wearing blue pants. Players with impressive performances include defensive end Dylan
Varekamp recording multiple sacks and linebacker Ridley McGillicuddy recording multiple
tackles. Even though the players used their great skills to proceed in the playoffs, the sideline
provided great energy to hype up the team throughout each quarter of the game. Even though
the sidelines brought great energy to the game, the student section really proved their Clipper
Pride as they enthusiastically cheered after every positive play for Norwell in the game. Lastly, it
has to be stated that the most important job out of the players and fans is the coaches, because
at the end of the day, with no coaches to lead playcalling and practice, our players, student
section, and fans would not be at the Norwell Clippers football games every Friday night.
