What’s Approaching the Auditorium?
If you’ve been craving some drama in your life, Norwell High School has got you covered. On March 3 and March 4, a double feature of the plays The Tower and Five Down One Across will be shown at the Norwell High Auditorium. Adapted and directed by NHS senior Nick Abreu, The Tower, is a post-apocalyptic tragedy that tells the tale of a family surviving the effects of nuclear fallout. This story shows us how you can find progress through chaos, something much needed during the pandemic. After a gripping 40 minutes, the cast hopes people will take something important away from this atmospheric performance. Five Down, One Across, directed by NHS teacher Christopher Lacy, touches on family in a different way. Covering the difficult topics of coming out and acceptance, this show asks the challenging question: is family defined by love or blood? Five Down, One Across was put on at NHS twelve years ago and placed as a semifinalist in a statewide drama festival. The new cast is equally as riveting, so make your way down to the matinee to see these two upcoming shows!
