Trunk or Treat

During the evening of October 17th, witches, princesses, superheroes, and many other creatures gathered at the high school for some treats. The event that brought all these characters together was the annual trunk or treat hosted by the National Honor Society. Some members of the NHS parked their cars down in the parking lot by the tennis courts and got ready for the event. The main focus for the seniors participating was to decorate the trunk of their cars in a Halloween festive way. After decorating the trunks, the seniors had their candy ready to hand out. Many trunks had garnish layed out, lights hung up, Halloween signs posted, ghosts and witches hats propped up and many more spooky decorations. The kids would come from the Boo Bash, taking place down on the turf, for some treats before heading out. When the elementary school kids started walking up to the cars, everyone was dressed up to the max with face paint, hair dye and top of the notch outfits. There were even many families that came all dressed up in correlating costumes together. The whole event turned out to be a major success with the kids coming to trunk or treat right from start to the very end. It was a great way to kick off this frightening season and prepare for Halloween!
