The Good Old Snow Day
It was a cold winter day. I had just spent the night at my cousin's house. There was barely a layer of snow on the ground. Despite the lack of snow my cousins had the best sledding hill right next to their house and it was my last day there. Eventually we had decided that we were going to go sledding, we all put our snow gear on and ran to get the sleds. There was only enough for four out of the six of us and only three of those sleds were in one piece. There were two flat sleds and two tubes. I grabbed myself one of the faster flat sleds, it had a handle falling off but that did not bother me when going down the hill. After retrieving the sleds we all sprinted down the hill in our winter boots and gear with sleds and tubes in hand. When we finally got to the sledding hill my oldest cousin went first, before he went we plotted out the best path (the path without any roots sticking up). Then he went for it, running and diving down the hill at full speed and flying down the hill giving us a big thumbs up when he hit the bottom. Now it was my turn I repeated his exact movements. I stepped back then ran into it diving down the hill my face four inches from the muddy snow. I immediately wanted to go again. Once I hit the bottom everyone came sledding down the hill, sometimes two or three people on a sled always running back up to the top waiting for a sled to go again since everyone wanted the faster sleds. After finishing we were all exhausted from running up and down the hill and immediately made our way to the couch to watch television.
