Thanksgiving Day Football Game

The Norwell Clippers have their final game at home this week at 10 AM on Thanksgiving Day for the annual Thanksgiving Day game versus Hanover. The Clippers have worked and battled hard all season and actually all year. The Clippers have been working for the season since January 2023. Every week since then the whole team has been together lifting weights and practicing plays. What they’ve done this year is outstanding even though they were knocked out of the playoffs last week by a really good Fairhaven team; what they did this season should not be overshadowed by that. Last year the Clippers finished all four and seven unsure of what was ahead of them and where the program wanted to go under new coach John Willis. These players have worked hard around the clock since the end of last season, and it really shows because this year the Clippers turned it completely around going eight and two and one of those losses being in the playoffs. Although they are out of the playoffs, it should not overshadow what this program has done this year it is taken or has it been a very successful football program in the past and made it into a really great program, with a really bright, bright future in the years to come. The Norwell Community will gather Thursday to watch the Clippers play their final game of the year and their seniors, that final game of their high school career against a really good Hanover team.
