Spring Recipe: Flower cookies
Makes about 20 - 24 cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl, set aside
3. Mix all wet ingredients together in a separate bowl
4. Combine into one large bowl
5. Roll dough out until it’s about ½ thick 6. Shape dough into flower shapes
7. Chill for 15 minutes
8. Bake cookies for 8 - 10 minutes
Icing
Ingredients
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 - 3 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk - ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients with a hand mixer - Wait until cookies are completely cooled - Apply frosting like so
