Speculation On Appearance Of Extraterrestrial Life

We’ve all heard of little green aliens, with large heads, small bodies, and big, black eyes. However, this is purely from science-fiction novels and movies. If aliens were to visit Earth, what would they really look like? Based on life here on Earth, scientists can observe and hypothesize as to how extraterrestrials might physically appear, if they even exist. Given the fact that living things need energy, it can be assumed that aliens would have to have a way to intake energy, whether that comes from a star, like how our sun allows for life on earth, or how some organisms take energy from other organisms to survive. Therefore, perhaps extraterrestrial beings would have some form of mouth, or be able to absorb energy through other means, such as through the sun’s rays. On our planet, all known living organisms are built around or primarily made up of carbon. Because of this, many scientists believe that locating the presence of carbon and water (yet another substance that is essential for life on earth), could be the key to finding life on other planets. In conclusion, nobody really knows what extraterrestrial creatures could look like, or if we’ll ever find intelligent life outside of our solar system, but we’re getting closer, with new information being discovered every day.
