The Norwell High School Robotics Team recently traveled to West Palm Beach to compete in the First Robotics FRC competition. First Robotics is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the curious youth on STEM topics, founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen. We left for Florida this past Wednesday (3/2) and came back Saturday (3/5), competing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Unfortunately, we did not make it to the playoffs, but still had large amounts of fun exploring West Palm Beach in the process. We did this to show what it is like not only making a robot, but to experience the thinking it requires to run one too. This couldn’t have been possible without the support we received from all of our chaperones, and the school officials that helped us with funding and planning.
