NHS Retiring Teachers
This year, we have four teachers graduating from Norwell High School including Mr. Browne, Mr. Thomas Jacobs, Mr. Kitchen and Ms. Fields. I would like to congratulate you all on retiring from teaching soon and thank you for all you have done for Norwell High School! Mr. Browne was a science teacher here and he coached boys varsity soccer for many years. All of his players would like to wish him good luck on his new adventures to come. Furthermore, Mr. Thomas Jacobs was a history teacher here and many students have enjoyed having him as their teacher. I also had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Kitchen, who was my freshman biology teacher. He had always wanted to teach and had reached a stage in his life where it was "now or never." Some advice he has is you will have good days and bad days, don't take it personally. Build upon the good days and learn from the bad days. I also talked to Ms. Fields and learned a lot about how she became a teacher. She started teaching in September of 1981 at Norwell High School as a special education teacher. She has learned to focus on students strengths and have enjoyed watching them mature and grow confidence from just 14 years old to becoming an adult. Some advice I have is that respect will bring respect. Thank you all again for being such great teachers and inspiring many students!
