Junior State of America (JSA) Club

Dear Norwell High School Community,

We are thrilled to bring you the latest news from the Junior State of America (JSA) Club at NHS.  JSA is an active club that provides students with a platform to engage in thoughtful discussions on various political and social topics.

Weekly Meetings:

Join us every Wednesday at Mr. Bechtel’s classroom right after school for our weekly JSA club meetings. It's an open space where students come together to express their opinions, explore other perspectives, and strengthen their critical thinking skills. Regardless if you are a very passionate debater or just interested in learning more about the world, the JSA Club welcomes everyone with open arms.

Debates and Discussions:

Our meetings are filled with energetic debates on current events, political issues, and social topics. This is a chance for students to be able to express their thoughts, listen to others, and participate in shaping conversations. The JSA Club serves as a good resource for intellectual growth and developing necessary life skills.

Upcoming Excitement: Washington DC Trip!

On February 15th, the JSA Club gets ready for an exciting trip to Washington DC. This adventure will provide students with the opportunity to engage in debates with students from other schools and explore the historical significance of the capital of the United States while creating long lasting memories. While we prepare for this very special journey, we deeply encourage all JSA Club members to stay engaged in our weekly meetings and contribute to our many discussions that make our club stand out.
