It’s crazy to think that a year ago we didn’t have to wear masks and we weren’t worried about getting a virus. We were just going on with our lives. Everything was normal until in March the news started talking about this deadly virus that was getting people very sick and even killing people. It’s scary because we didn’t expect it, I remember hearing the news talking about this new deadly virus in China and no one was worried everyone was still just going on with their lives. Until one day all schools got cancelled for two weeks but Norwell schools still went in that day. I remember teachers making us clean our iPads off and them having Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer on their desks. That’s when I realized things were just beginning to get serious. When we got the announcement at the end of the day of school being canceled for two weeks because of this deadly virus everyone was excited and yelling of joy in the halls. That was until we didn’t go back to school for the rest of the year. Now in January 2021 the virus has now killed 2 million people, but the vaccine is out and people are starting to take it like nurses and health care workers. This virus has killed 2 million people worldwide in 1 year. No one ever thought it would get this bad but no one also thought we were going to have a global pandemic.
