It’s finally senior year!
Congratulations, we did it! It has been long awaited by many of us and now that it is here, there may be some realizations. Senior year is supposed to be fun and exciting and where school doesn’t entirely matter anymore because we already know what our futures hold. While this is true, the beginning of the year is rather chaotic. As well as doing all of our summer work for AP classes and summer reading, we also have to focus on college and our futures. From the time we start to think about school in August, until our last college applications are submitted, we are going a thousand miles a minute. We have school, where we have to study for tests and focus on getting good grade the first half of the year. We have sports that we have to focus on, because for a lot of us, it is our last year with those sports at such a high competitive level so we want to make the most of it. Then we have our college applications and our future to also think about at this time. Some of us are applying for early action, even early decision and have to get our application submitted as soon as possible for that early deadline. This means that there is no time for dilly-dallying. We are hitting the ground running these first few weeks of school. Even talking with college coaches about playing sports in college. All of this takes up so much of our time and it leaves nearly no time for ourselves. If you are a senior, don’t forget to take a moment to breathe during this busy time of the year for us. We owe it to ourselves to minimize our stress and take time for ourselves. And remember, after we submit all of our applications, senior year gets that much better!
