Blood Drive
Last month, the National Honor Society hosted their annual Blood Drive. All proceeds went towards the Red Cross. The event was a resounding success, with 37 units of blood donated from just that one day. Event leader Bianca Inferrera noted that “many kids signed up and they were eager to donate for a good cause”. This goodwill spread beyond students, as “teachers also donated, which took time out of their day” and shows the commitment Norwell faculty have for a good cause. Teachers were also “very supportive” and let their students donate blood during class. Students and teachers came in, answered questions about their personal health, had their blood drawn by nurses, and then ate some snacks. The blood donated will surely make a big difference in many people's lives, and the Norwell community as a whole is very proud of all donors, organizers, and volunteers.
