Aquariums Raising Awareness

The New England Aquarium is the biggest aquarium in New England with over 20,000 animals. The New England Aquarium has worked with Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to rescue, rehabilitate, and release thousands of endangered and threatened animals all over the world. Seeing all the animals and how they swim, eat, breath, and dive is so intriguing. But seeing them inside tanks and unable to live in the wild anymore due to something a person did is an awful feeling. Plus seeing that there's less than 500 left of a species before the animal goes extinct is nothing but upsetting. So having places like the Aquarium to raise awareness and show people there's things to do to prevent issues in our oceans is so important. I think that the aquarium, if anything, should be advocating more for what people can do to help our oceans and see if they can change someone's mind as they spend the day at the aquarium.
