2024 Graduation
Norwell’s graduation ceremony was held Saturday, June 1 at Norwell Public High School. It was a beautiful day, although very hot and sunny. The ceremony was a success, with memorable speeches from Senior President Bella Burns, elected peer Aiden Coyle, and science teacher Dr. Marsh. All the speakers did very well in advising the new graduates.
Valedictorian was Nidhi Bellur, and there was a tie for salutation between Alex Bello and Julian Mendes. All three are set to begin in the fall at Ivy League schools. It is evident that this senior class is renowned for their academic excellence.
The ceremony began with speeches, and then diplomas were awarded. Graduates walked across, shook hands with Mr. Bender, received their diploma, and then took a picture. Junior class marshalls Holly Pantilla and Ryan Johnson led the senior class in spreading out along the stadium field, before tossing their grad caps into the air. Afterwards, people congregated near the tennis courts for pictures and cigars.
Good luck to the graduating class of 2024, we are all so proud of you! You will all go on to do great things, and hopefully make the world a better place.
