Aquarium Field Trip
On Friday December 20th before the holiday vacation Marine Biology and Sea of Literature led by Mr. and Mrs. Browne took a field trip to Boston. The trip took place at the New England Aquarium, IMAX theater and Quincy market. Everyone in class had been looking forward to this trip for months; it’s wasn’t just a school trip but an experience. As seniors we saw first hand what a career as a marine biologist, oceanographer, and an aquarist would be like. Conservation was an important theme of the day in many of the exhibits. One activity we did was take selfies with organisms at the Aquarium such as a harbor seals, an electric eel and even the aquariums cutest employee. After having time to visit the touch tank and pet a leopard whipray, our group meet up and walked over to the IMAX theater to watch “Hidden Pacific.” The movie was extremely entertaining and challenged us to stop using plastics. After the movie the group walked over to Quincy market to have time for lunch. Overall everyone had an extremely positive day of fun and learning on this field trip.
