A Chorus Line
This weekend, four Norwellites hit the stage in “A Chorus line” at the Company Theatre! Since September, the cast has worked hard to bring the story of seventeen dancers auditioning for a broadway show in New York City to life. Through the symbolism of the neverending chorus line, the brilliant music by Marvin Hamlisch and book by Edward Kleban demonstrates that the love for theatre is everlasting for those who share in it. The musical is based on the true stories of real dancers, stories collected and curated into a musical by Michael Bennett, the mastermind behind the singular sensation of “A Chorus line”. Debuting in 1975, this show was one of the first of its kind to center around the hardships and extreme joys of professionals in the theatre industry. Congrats to all of the talented cast and crew!
