Art Field Trip
Last Friday, October 26th, the art students had the opportunity to attend a field trip to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. The museum itself was in a really pretty building, and they had many interesting exhibits. My personal favorite was the maritime art. After visiting the museum, we got the chance to explore Salem on our own for lunch. This was the perfect time to go to Salem, as everyone was dressed head to toe in impressive Halloween costumes. Shops along the streets offered souvenirs, haunted houses, psychic readings, and photo opportunities. I took a picture with Michael Meyers from the horror movie Halloween. Other popular characters we saw were witches, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and other scary movie characters. Overall, it was a really great field trip. I got to see some impressive artwork as well as get in the Halloween spirit!
