Recycling Club

With our planet in its current condition, it is necessary for younger generations to take initiative and try to protect this planet by limiting harmful materials and reusing materials. This is why the recycling club had been started by active Norwell High School student and community member, Andrew Geagea. After speaking with him I was able to gain an understanding of why he decided to create the recycling club. Andrew was recently made aware that there are no recycling bins in classrooms and that all recyclables were being thrown away with the rest of the trash. Since it is his last year at the NHS, he thought he should take initiative a make the school a better place before departing to study elsewhere. His plans for the club in the short amount of time he has left at the school are to establish a base of younger students to take control of the club after he has graduated. Andrew also wants to spread awareness about the importance of recycling which may be a harder aspect of his job.
