Leena's Kitchen
Leena’s Kitchen is a newly opened “farm to table” restaurant in Plymouth, MA. We recently joined Lisa Marsh, wife of Dr. Marsh (chemistry teacher at NHS) and assistant general manager, for an interview to get to know what Leena’s is all about. As a bit of background, Leena was Lisa’s grandmother who came to the U.S. from Italy to make a better life for her children.
Q: What kind of food do you serve?
A: “Modern Italian.”
Q: So, how has business been since your opening?
A: “Great, very busy, busier than expected, so it’s wonderful.”
Q:What would you say has been the best part about the opening of your restaurant?
A: “Seeing it all come together; it was something where it was kind of a dream...”
Q:What would you say is your most popular dish at Leena’s? Which is your personal favorite?
A: “The Lamb Shank is the most popular; my favorite is the boulonnaise with the homemade gnocchi.”
Q:What do you think has been your biggest bump so far in the opening?
A: “Probably finding and hiring all the staff, finding all the right people that represent what Leena’s stands for.”
Q:What is the best part of what you do here?
A: “ I think the best part is definitely seeing people happy, seeing people enjoying Leena’s.”
Q:If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: “Again, I’m going to have to go back to the boulonnaise with the gnocchi.”
Q:If you could describe Leena's in 3 words what would they be?
A: “A complete dining experience.”
Q:How good are those croissants?
A: “They’re good, freshly baked and made pretty much daily!”
